This steering wheel comes with the Original German D.O.T. Certificate — see pictures.
Only this 15.3” NARDI classic wood steering wheel model in satin silver or with black spokes is allowed to be placed with the appropriate original embossed MERCEDES #2804 D collapsible hub on German and European Mercedes Benz R 107 registered cars.
Specification of this ORIGINAL Nardi/Personal steering wheel:
- Width is 15.3?.
- Stronger and thicker wooden rim with NON STANDARD full wood covering the inner metal frame.
- Dark African mahogany wooden rim with black top ring.
- Stronger frame – brushed satin silver spokes (which prevent fingerprints)
- Backside of the 3 spokes is embossed with Serial # of German and European D.O.T. Homologation #.
- ORIGINAL NARDI black center horn button with Mercedes Benz chrome enamel emblem.
- RARE ORIGINAL New Old Stock made in 1980’s – 1990’s Collapsible Ex-Center Mercedes Benz Hub/Adapter (Boss) Serial # 2804 D.
This steering wheel comes with an original German K.B.A (Kraftfaht Bundes Amt) certificate – German D.O.T approval Booklet to fit this NARDI K.B.A embossed steering wheel with the embossed MERCEDES Hub #2804 D on Mercedes Benz vehicle.
This hub is collapsible which means that it will retract itself in case of a collision.
This very special MERCEDES hub #2804 D is ex centered with 1? over the center which brings the steering wheel rim 1? above the center of the hub to give a perfect visibility of the dashboard instruments.
This steering wheel is embossed with all European and German KBA (Kraftfahrt-Bundes-Amt) “D.O.T.” Homologation Numbers.
For safety reason, only steering wheels which have passed the European Safety Test and are embossed with a “K.B.A” (German Department Of Transport) and European Spec Homologation serial numbers on the backside of the spokes are allowed to be placed with the German D.O.T and E.U. approved hubs on European registered vehicles.
This steering wheel is guaranteed to fit perfectly on all above mentioned Mercedes Benz vehicles.
