Ultra RARE 1966 Ford Shelby COBRA GT 350 2-3/4″ original deep dish wood steering wheel.
- Made in 1966 ITALY by E. Nardi.
- 15-3/4″ (40 cm) diameter.
- Original un-restored New Old Stock.
E. Nardi made the nicest wood steering wheels on special orders until his death at the end of 1966. All Ferrari’s from 1954 till 1966 were fitted with original E. Nardi wood steering wheels. All were manufactured like a piece of jewelry. E. Nardi died in 1966 in his closed garage when adjusting the carburetors of his Ferrari 250 Lusso.
E.Nardi wood steering wheels made until1966 are very rare and are increasing in value every year. All steering wheels made by the Nardi Co. were embossed with the manufacturing year date.
- This steering wheel is a New Old Stock. It is embossed on the lower backside spoke with “MADE 66 ITALY.”
- This steering wheel was a special order for a Shelby GT 350 1966 and was manufactured specially for such car with a special 2 contact original horn button and center emblem.
- The diameter is the original size for Shelby wood steering wheel 15 ¾” or exactly 40 cm.
- Deep dish is 2 ¾”. The total height from steering column junction to wooden rim is 4 ½”.
- This steering wheel has the original Amber varnish. Nothing has been restored – this steering wheel has only been polished.
- There is no damage on the wood.
- The horn button is the original Shelby GT 350 horn button that came with this steering wheel. It is NOS flawless.
