This steering wheel came off a German 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS. German-delivered new Ferraris from 1988 had to have a German Kraftfahrt Bundes Amt (KBA) approved steering wheel. The German KBA is the equivalent in USA as the D.O.T. (Department of Transport). Unlike in the US, all German cars must be fitted with an approved through the German D.O.T. steering wheel for safety regulations.
This steering wheel has the KBA-approved serial # embossed Typ C36/1 KBA70071 MOMO 3/88 on the backside of the lower spoke.
This steering wheel is in very good condition as you can see in the detailed pictures.
This particular original Ferrari MOMO steering wheel was manufactured by the well-known German manufacturer HELLA. (MOMO and Nardi do not produce all merchandise that is marked with their trading name but are using some suppliers.)
The size is 36 cm and the bolt application is for MOMO Ferrari hub/Boss.
This steering wheel was fitted by the last owner with a Ferrari Nardi horn button assembly which looked nicer than the cheap MOMO Ferrari horn button but you can take the Nardi Ferrari horn button off and replace it with a standard MOMO Ferrari horn button.
This MOMO Ferrari steering wheel will fit all Ferraris that have the MOMO Ferrari hub /Boss bolt patent:
304 – 308 GTB – 308 GTS – 328 GTB – 328 GTS – Testarossa – 512 BB – 400 – 412 – 365 BB – 355 – 260 – 456
This steering wheel is in a beautiful undamaged and not repaired or restored condition.
Very nice patina on the leather rim.
Ready to place on your Ferrari steering column that has a MOMO Hub / Boss fixing holes patent at 12 – 2 – 4 – 6 – 8 – 10 AM.
